Italian Language Course
IMY provides a basic level Italian language course to help the trainee to better understand the local culture and to become more integrated with the local population. The aim is to give learners tools and tips for entering the labour market and for managing their daily life.
The course consists of an initial one-week full immersion course upon arrival (9 hours in total), followed by 2 hours once a week for the rest of the period.
During the first week the trainee takes part in Italian language lessons and many other activities such as: cookery lessons, cultural and social visits and events.
The programme is structured around an Italian Language course book, which is provided to trainees on their first Italian class. Teachers use the course book for activities and exercises in class, as well as additional own resources!

Classes for groups up to 15 people
All IMY trainers are certified to teach Italian to non-native speakers and work under pedagogic coordination and direction.
Participants are required to pass a final exam at the end of the course. The final exam certifies the progress made by each participant and the results are included in the final certification, based on the European Common Framework for Foreign Languages.
